In Peonia, the flower is stripped of its conventional symbolism of softness and instead becomes a sign of excess and tension. It operates not as a decorative element, but as an active force that expands and disrupts the limits of the body. Within the context of Floralia, the peony embodies a process of forced adaptation, where identity is reshaped under external pressure and gradually loses its stability. Beauty here is not an aesthetic category, but a mechanism of camouflage - one that enables survival while simultaneously threatening the dissolution of the subject.
